Lee Junki 2009 in Japan for Splendor

source: news prime
Translations: dramabeans

As announced, Lee Junki was in Japan over the weekend to perform for fans in Kobe and Yokohama for another series of fan concerts that seated 8,000 attendees.

This event was called “Lee Junki 2009 in Japan for Splendor,” which follows his last series of fan concerts called Episode 2: “The Mask.” Neither title makes a whole lot of sense, but hey, it’s Lee Junki, and a Junki who made perfect sense would be boring.

In addition to songs from his single album “J-Style,” he also sang songs from several of the OSTs of his dramas: in Kobe on the 18th, he sang “Foolish Heart” [미련한 가슴아] from Time of Dog and Wolf, and on the 19th he performed Iljimae soundtrack song “Flower’s Message” [화신].

Apparently, Lee Junki came to the Yokohama concert dressed in a yellow bear costume (er?) and arrived at the entrance an hour prior to the concert’s start, where 5,000 fans waited to enter. Along with one other person, he took photos with the fans as though he were an amusement park character. It wasn’t until later when he came out in costume that fans realized he’d been the one they’d taken photos with. Not too surprisingly, the whole idea is credited to Lee Junki himself.

Who’s that girl with Lee Junki?

Who exactly is the girl in black that was featured rather prominently in Lee Junki's music video J Style recently? Fans have been placing much attention to Lee Junki's debut MV as a singer and also with the girl that partners Junki in it. Fans were jealous and envious of the girl who had wore a black mesh dress, "seducing" Lee Junki in the music video and started "investigating" her background like usual.

And the answer is out, the girl's name is Yoon Ji Ah and she had entered the industry through SBS Supermodel contest in 2007. Since then, she has appeared mostly in pictorials for magazines like Arena, Esquire, etc. Yoon Ji Ah only became much more active in recent memory with appearances in Miss. S Don't Cheat and Jinju Maze music videos. Her participation in Lee Junki's J Style MV apparently impressed so much that Junki's agency, Mentor Entertainment, have signed her on as their artiste.

Lee Junki Unleashes J Style

In case you are wondering, this is not a publicity stunt because his fan meeting codenamed Episode 2: Mask is already sold out. Having seen the pictures of the exclusive MV for the fan meeting leaked a few days ago, Mentor Entertainment has proceeded to release a teaser of the MV which is named J Style to get fans salivating even more. The MV features a slick looking Lee Junki moving around and posing in the MV and seemed to have been made with a lot of thought and effort.

Unfortunately, only fans going to his fan meeting on 18th April will get to see the full J Style MV. For those who are not going, we will have to wait for fancams. Although Lee Junki is currently nursing an ankle injury suffered during one of his rehearsals, he is working through the pain barrier and continuing with the rehearsals so that he can present his best side to his fans who have been waiting for him.

Lee Junki is hot! At first when I watched him on My Girl, I actually didn't like him because he looked really feminine...but then as I kept watching My Girl I totally fell in love with him!! Hence, me posting this blog of him. The teaser of his MV is so freakin' hot!!! It sucks that I won't be able to see it...but hopefully his fans will have some really good videos of him. We shall wait and see!
