Kim Hyun Joong, “I Would Pick First Love Min Seo Hyun”

“I thought I would try to avoid criticism for my first acting role. But I’m getting some heat. People say my dialogue deliverance is still awkward. I didn’t understand when actors said the character must be internalized. I’m realizing the meaning and will gradually improve my acting.”

Kim Hyeon-jung (23) interviewed with KBS on the set of the hit KBS 2TV drama “Boys over Flower” while wearing the uniform of “Shinhwa High School,” where he is a student in the drama.

He was closely monitoring his shots despite the hectic filming schedule. He plays Yoon Ji-hu, one of the popular school foursome known as “F4″ and the grandson of a former president. Tensions flared from the fifth episode as he created a love triangle with Gu Jun-pyo (played by Lee Min-ho) over heroine Geum Jan-di (Gu Hye-seon).

“I’m rather shy like Ji-hu and my actual facial expressions when I meet a stranger come out during acting. Ji-hu has many internal wounds so conveying facial expressions is, I think, more difficult than saying lines.”

“I thought we would shoot in the order of the storyline but we first shot the overseas scene in New Caledonia and Macao. My head was bursting from having to constantly show different emotions. On one film set, I changed into six different outfits. Waiting like for eight hours on set was also tough. We barely had time to eat. But memorizing the lines is not difficult at all. I can easily remember them by just reading them out loud a few times.”

He said his most memorable scene in the series so far was in episode 5, when Ji-hu confessed his feelings to Jan-di at their school hideout.

He also said he read the original Japanese comic and found the scene interesting when Ji-hu asks Jan-di to date him behind Gu Jun-pyo’s back. He said it’s not his opinion alone, and that many other readers also regard this scene as highly important in the plot development.

Until the sixth episode, Kim is “sandwiched” between the younger Jan-di and elder Min Seo-hyeon (Han Chae-young).

“I was never in a love triangle in real life. In real life, I would choose Min because she is the one whom Ji-hu liked first. I believe first love is more important. For me, when I’m dating, I make it a rule not to be distracted by any other person.”

“I used to like girls the same age as myself but I now know that age matters little in love.”

He must have felt uneasy about the kiss scenes in his first acting role. One famous anecdote is well known by now. He had a kiss scene during a brief appearance in the KBS 2TV sitcom “Can love be refilled?” Before the scene, he asked the staff if he needed to put his tongue in his partner’s mouth. He revealed the story only recently on an entertainment program.

“Kissing with Gu Hye-seon in New Caledonia was more nerve-racking than the scene with Han Chae-young later on, though the latter appears first in the drama. Now I joke around and am at ease with Gu. I’ve also become close with Lee Min-ho. We eat together and play billiards. Gu and Lee are both highly committed to their roles. I learn a lot from them.”

Due to his aristocratic character, Kim finds himself more polite in speech and behavior in real life. His longtime friends from the Songpa district in Seoul make fun of him.

“I live a high life on screen but drink soju in street stalls in real life. I feel I have a split personality (laugh).”

He is also proud of his group, SS501, who are currently missing two members, himself and Park Jeong-min, who is appearing in the musical “Grease.”

“Their success will lay the groundwork for our resumed activity in July when we release a new album and begin our Asia tour. I just want to thank the three active members.”

HJ is so lovable!! I love how he says that he'll never look at another girl if he was with someone and that first love is important to him. Ahh!! How I wish he was actually with Hwangbo. I also love how he keeps mentioning that age isn't a factor in love, which totally reminds me of Hwangbo. Although I know it's hard for them to be together right now with their hectic schedule, their own life, and because of annoying irritating disapproving fans around them...I hope that in the future when they're definitely ready to settle down and start a life, and IF they're both still single...that they'll consider actually being together. Oh how I wish...

JagSal Chicken

Popular group SS501 member Kim HyunJoong chicken shop’s (that’s how they call a small restaurant that sells fried chicken) pamphlet has became a hot topic.

Kim HyunJoong whose value raised to its peak with drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’ (KBS2), revealed in variety program ‘Yashim Manman’ (SBS) on 26-Jan that he is running a chicken shop with his kindergarten friends. This has made a hot topic and finally, owing to the netizens, the actual pamphlet has been revealed.

Recently in a SS501 fan cafe, Kim HyunJoong’s JagSal Chicken pamphlet photo was taken personally and uploaded. This pamphlet is not much different from other neighborhood chicken shops but Kim HyunJoong holds a large portion on the pamphlet arousing the attention of female student fans and at the same time, spurring on their appetite. Their shop’s name, JagSal Chicken which will make people think of this very suitable with expression ‘spearing taste’ (?) when they see it.

Meanwhile, Kim HyunJoong also said on this day’s broadcast, surprising the others, “I did not get any pocket money from my parents since I was a student. From 2nd year of middle school onwards, I had done part time jobs such as delivery of chickens and etc. I had even stop school temporary and concentrated on working. I saved 1 billion won working non-stop for a few years.” He also talked about Jagsal Chicken’s very own interesting tagline ‘If it is not delicious, I will be your son’.

Looking at the advertisement of course the first person you'll see is HJ, what a smart way of advertising JagSal Chicken! Everyone would stop to see sexy HJ! I want one of those ads. I'll be one of those student fans where they'll get my attention and 'spurring' my appetite! Haha too bad I live all the way here so I won't get the chance to unless I go to Korea. Man...I want to go to Korea so badly!! The chicken in the ad looks really yummy too!

Kim Hyun Joong almost died three times?

SS501's Kim Hyun Joong made a shocking confession on the January 26th SBS Yashinmanman Show. He confesses that he almost died, not once, not twice but a SHOCKING three times over a period of six months while he lived as a runaway. He left home during his sophomore year of high school and lived like a bum with friends and local transients. He almost died from starvation, and was almost beaten to death. From what I understand he also was close to death by being almost fatally squished.

Kim Hyun Joong said that he was starving to the point that he and his friends ordered food at a restaurant, ate, and then ran away without paying with fistfuls of fried foods in hand. Wow, what a badass.

On the time he was almost beaten to death, Hyun Joong says that he and his ragtag group of friends ran into the a couple of drunken thugs and and got into a not-so-friendly argument, which resulted in his friend being beaten by the gangsters. Hyun Joong jumped in the middle of the beating, being beaten himself and luckily rendered the assailant unconscious by slipping on some newly fallen snow.

His final encounter with Death was when he was sleeping at an apartment complex construction site and was awaken just in time by the loud construction noises. Later he saw that the entire area was demolished except for the spot where he had been asleep just moments earlier.

And now it's been revealed that this miracle boy runs a chicken shop with his friends (based on a pact he made with his preschool friends) and he also made 100 million won (around $75,000) by working all kinds of jobs. He says he hasn't relied on his parents for money since junior high.

He is insane! Seriously, I was already worried like crazy with all the other news I've been hearing about his injuries and accidents. I can't believe he was able to survive all that. I'm so glad he was able to survive those three incidents because if he didn't, wouldn't be as successful and loved as he is today. We need him in our life! There's a true angel beside him! I love his corky 4 dimensional side and that's what makes him special.

Boys Before Flowers Ep 8!

I really really hate waiting for the next episodes to come out! On top of that it's so difficult to get these websites to work properly because of all the other fan's who are trying to watch the show too. Thanks to all the subbers for subbing this drama and especially for doing it so quick for all of us anxious impatient viewers! As usual I'll be updating on each episode..but I don't know if I'll be doing it for the next couple of episodes because I started school today. Gahh! School ruins everything, and on top of that I'm hoping to find another job. Anyways...on a happier note..

Recap:

- Again this episode started with JunPyo and Jandi hugging and JunPyo telling her to it's not too late if she tells him that she likes him, but in the end she says that she's sorry, even though deep down she really does like him.

- In the end JunPyo says that he's not going to awknowledge her ever again and that this was the last time he's ever going to talk to her. Then it was the competition day, which the activity was swimming. It's funny how everything the boss told Jandi and her friend was actually true. It was to intense how they were neck to neck and then JunPyo turns off the light, just like what the boss said, "Everything turned black"

- Outside after the match the friends make up, everyone was happy except for JunPyo. As Ji Hoo and Jandi starts walking away Ji Hoo asks Jandi out on a date. This part I totally didn't expect, although I saw the preview I thought that they were just hanging out or what not but not considering it an actual date. I guess I was wrong...Kim Bum looked really good in this picture!

- JunPyo explaining to his friends the reason why he turned off the lights, telling them that when they were younger he broke Ji Hoo's robot that his father built for him and because of that he felt like he was in debt to Ji Hoo. Hearing this Jun Hee was very proud of her brother. When they show the younger years of F4, it's so cute! I love how adorable they are.

- The way that JunPyo was being cranky the next day was so cute! He kept wanting to stay in bed and hiding under the covers. It wasn't until his friends told him that Jandi and Ji Hoo was going on a date that he was so annoyed he was throwing a tantrum in bed. He's so childish yet so cute!

- The date that Jandi and Ji Hoo went on. They went to see the horse that Ji Hoo got as a Christmas gift from Min Seo Hyun. Jandi telling him that she threw a tantrum for wanting to raise a puppy but didn't succeed and then Ji Hoo asking her if she would like a horse instead. That's so sweet! So then they go riding on the horse, walk through the city lights and as they were walking Ji Hoo see's JunPyo following them. The way he smiled and smirked when he saw JunPyo was so cute!

- Ji Hoo and Jandi ended up walking towards the cable car, reminding Jandi of all the memories she had with JunPyo there, making her sad and distracted. As she was on the cablecar, she started looking around and saw the message that JunPyo had wrote, "Gu JunPyo ♥ Geum Jandi, Our first night!"

- Ji Hoo took Jandi to his house and tries to kiss her but she avoids it by looking at a picture of him, Seo Hyun, and the horse, meanwhile JunPyo is outside frustrated that Jandi is at Ji Hoo's House. AGAIN! Ji Hoo had that cute smile/smirk when he saw JunPyo in his home camera. I think that when Ji Hoo tried to kiss Jandi he was trying to see her reaction and how she felt for him. Although he knows he shouldn't because of JunPyo but he couldn't help his own feelings. In the end Jandi avoided his feelings and he understood that she likes JunPyo and that he shouldn't force anything between them two, therefore in the end he says “I may regret it, but I should let her go, shouldn’t I?” In the picture it looks like he's smelling her hair. Hehe.

- Ji Hoo then calls all the guys out for a game of ice hockey. When they finally met up Ji Hoo lies and says that he was just using Jandi because he was bored but sent her home because he didn't like how she was so easy. Of course he did this purposely to get JunPyo mad to beat him up, but in the end that's how they reconciled their friendship. This episode changed my opinion of Ji Hoo's character a lot. I started to like Ji Hoo a lot more and I even started to feel bad for him because all the people around him that he loves, doesn't seem to stick around long...but then again he'll always have F4 by his side. And AGAIN the guys in their sexy helmets just like the time they raced each other looking all serious and sexy. In this scene I noticed Ji Hoo's hair was especially golden blonde.

- F4 faking that JunPyo is hurt and in the hospital. Jandi rushing to the hospital with different shoes on. This just shows how important he is to her and how much she cares for him. She then expresses her feelings and JunPyo gets up and teases her including the other F4 members.

- JunPyo kidnaps Jandi in the morning when she was trying to exercise and says that she exercise like poor people. He then takes her golfing where she enjoys herself and was going to the extreme to go into the water when she hit the ball into the pond, but JunPyo got annoyed, picked her up and carried her away. They then go to each sashimi where Jandi totally enjoys herself but runs into the 3 brats from schools and was made fun of. Of course JunPyo came to save the day and then takes Jandi to go watch a movie where they ALMOST kissed! *gasp!*

- Jandi totally trying to avoid JunPyo while at work saying that she was really busy even though there was only one set of customer. Her boss and friend looks at her as if she was crazy. Then she see's Ji Hoo at school when she was swimming and they have coffee together, but when she heard that JunPyo was coming she pretends to be busy and leaves right away.

- JunPyo decides to go to Jandi's house and calls her parents mother and father, making them the happiest people in the world. He then asks if he can spend the night and of course they agree. JunPyo changes into sleeping clothes but it was too small for him, yet he was still posing his sexy self. Jandi's father and younger brother starts praising him saying that the style will become popular and starts to pull up their pants too. They are so funny! When it was time to sleep, Jandi's mother layed out the mattress that she used on her honeymoon and that's where the whole family slept. JunPyo thought it was amusing and was enjoying it very much, saying that he feels like a family sleeping together...but in the end Jandi's father and brother was tossing and turning and talking in their sleep. Hehe.

Wow! I didn't know that this post was going to be THIS long! This is my first longest post but then again I posted a lot of pictures and I had a lot of side comments. Boo! Now I have to wait until next week for the next episode...=(

Boys Before Flowers Ep 7!

Omg! Let me tell you...I was going crazy trying to watch this episode! Because so many people were trying to watch it, the websites were lagging like crazy..or was it my laptop? I don't think it is...anyways, I was getting so pissed off and annoyed at the fact that I couldn't watch the episode because it either wouldn't load or it'll lag like crazy. I was checking the whole freakin' day to see if the episode was posted and when it finally was I was so excited but then things never works out as planned right? Either way...I FINALLY got to see this episode!! Yay-yah!

Recap:

- So starting out in this episode Jandi was looking for JunPyo and starts running after him when she saw him getting into his car. It was so funny how she rode her bike and got to his place as fast as he did riding in his car. He was so shocked that she got there so quick, but then he starts telling her to leave but she wouldn't. They start running after each other again and he yells at her and runs into the car. He looks so cute and childish when he stuck his tongue out to her.

- The sudden arrival of Kim Hyun Joo, as Goo Jun Hee...JunPyo's older sister. Her appearance was so cool and sexy! She has this cool, hot, sexy, I don't care what other's say, attitude and I totally love it! She's so cool, Lol...I feel like those three brats from Shinhwa's school because they were praising her.

- I totally love the way that she randomly hits JunPyo. She was beating him up like crazy after she got out of the car and that cool backflip she did. How cool was that? Although it's funny how she's the only one who can treat JunPyo that way and not be afraid I feel so bad for him. He's like a little child around her because he has no say.

- Ji Hoo calls JunPyo out, telling him that he's going to protect Jandi no matter what. JunPyo telling Ji Hoo that if they were really friends that Ji Hoo would remember that they watched the movie 11 times together and that Ji Hoo wouldn't do what he did.

- JunPyo, JiHoo, and Jandi getting together to pick the balls for the activities that they're gonna go against.

- Their first activity was horseback riding. JunPyo tried his hardest and risked a lot, especially the horse to win against Ji Hoo because he's known to be a really good rider. In the end because JunPyo pushed the horse too hard so the horse can't ride ever again. This part was sad and JunPyo was sad, telling the guy that he has to do everything to help the horse.

-Ji Hoo and Jandi petting the horse, Ji Hoo telling Jandi that she can ride the horse. HJ looks so cute in this scene! I love him!

- Next up was car racing. This was something that was hard for Ji Hoo because of his parent's accident. It showed his weak side and something that JunPyo was so happy about because he was so sure that he was going to win. But before the race, Ji Hoo hugged Jandi and kissed her on the forehead, telling her that they had to do this to defeat JunPyo. In the end because JunPyo was distracted and so pissed at that scene he lost concentration and swirved. Although Ji Hoo kissed Jandi on the forehead this scene didn't bother me at all. Why? Because she had a beanie on so technically he wasn't kissing her. Hehe =) Btw...the guys looked so freakin' hot with their helmets and concentrating so hard on their racing!

- The last race is swimming, JunPyo's challenge because that's something he couldn't do. I seriously think that all the activities that they are doing is all planned by Jun Hee. Isn't it weird that all of a sudden all the activities their doing is something related to their past, something that each of them are afraid of or tramatized about? I don't know...it seems like it.

- This episode ends with JunPyo going to look for Jandi. At the park he hugs her and tells her it's not too late if she tells him she likes him. Omg! but looking at the preview I really don't know what happens. I'm really looking forward to episode 8. From what I saw on the previews Jandi and Ji Hoo seems to be a lot closer and spending a lot of time together. Are they trying to make JunPyo jealous? I hope that's the case because I really don't want them to be together.

2009 MBC Star Dance Battle

credits:allkpop & D O L C E

You have to check this out! SS501 was so sexy! Their battle against Super Junior. Super Junior's dance was alright, but they have nothing against SS501! Of course, just by watching the video you already know who won...the one and only SS501! Yeah! I was so excited to see them. Kyujoong looked so freakin' hot! Man...I love these guys.

Of course there were other battles with other battles between, SHINee, 2PM, Taegoon, KARA, Girls' Generation, Jewelry, VOS, Seungri and Taeyang. I didn't really watch it that's why I'm not posting it on here and plus, they're not as interesting as SS501. Hehe, I know I'm really biased..

Idol Groups Have No More Privacy

Nowadays the intrusion of an idol’s private life from fans are getting more and more serious, especially the boy groups (DBSK, SS501 and Big Bang). So receiving a lot of fans short message and phone calls each day on their cell is not unusual. And further, the content (sms/calls/pictures) in what the band members sent to each other are even known by the fans (meaning they somehow hacked in) and when they meet with one another they are even found by the fans.

Because of this problem, they have to switch phone numbers under their manger’s name. But despite the phone change, the fans still found out and even send a message, “do you think that if you switched numbers we won’t find out?” So the only way they can do is to change numbers every two to three months under the company, manager or family’s name.
DBSK has mentioned this when they were on YDH’s Love Letter a couple months back. Yunho was saying that the fans update them on their family’s health/life etc.

I think that this is crazy and something really serious. As much as you love your idols and as much as you are obsessed with them it should only come to an extent. Don't be stalkerish...please think of your idols and what you're putting them through. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE deserves to have their own personal life regardless of who are what they are. I feel really bad for these idols and especially for their close friends and families because they'll constantly have to change their cell numbers just because of these psycho fans.

Boys Before Flowers Ep 6!

So I've been putting off blogging this episode for many reasons. I would say this episode is crucial to the movie but for some reason I don't really like it. It's like this for most movies that I watch and I really hate it. The movie always starts out really funny, happy and having you anxious for more. I mean I still look forward to the next episodes of course but now the storyline is getting serious and there would be a lot less funny moments. I think that's how it was for Goong. When I was watching Goong I laughed so hard but then it got really serious and then it started dragging. I guess that's how most dramas are..

Recap:

- Joon Pyo running in the water because Jandi said there was a snake around him. He's so cute! Kinda reminds me of HJ in real life and how he's so afraid of bugs. Look at his sexy body! =)

- The anklet that JunPyo bought for Jandi that doesn't cost much but means a lot.

- Joon Pyo lazily lounging around before Jandi's incident.

- Ji Hoo saving Jandi when she had leg cramps and was drowning in the water. How JunPyo wanted to save her but because of his childhood trauma he wasn't able to save her. Joon Pyo being mad at himself and frustrated at the fact that he couldn't go and save the person he loves.

- Joon Pyo very disturbed that he couldn't do anything for Jandi when she was drowning decides to cook for everyone to show he cares, even though he was still acting pretty rough with her you can tell he was very sincere. He was concentrating really hard to learn how to cook and that was so cute! In the end of the night he had a firework show for everyone. Although it's not realistic and computer generated it was still pretty cool. I liked the heart shaped one. From the way that Jandi was looking at JunPyo you can tell that she's seeing a different side of him and she's starting to develope feelings for him.

- JunPyo taking Jandi on a private plan, showing her the heart shaped land and expressing his feelings for her. Saying that he's always wanted to take the special person to this spot and that she's the first person he showed this to. I loved the way his expresson was, it was so sexy! He was so serious when he was saying all this to Jandi.

- As much as I love HJ, I do not like how he looked in this scene. He wasn't very attractive looking here, maybe it was because of what he was wearing..the big neckline and that hairband..and the way he was rowing his kayak was very feminine. I don't know...it was very subtle and gentle. And then the weird part was that JunPyo started going crazy, rowing really hard and passing Ji Hoo and then Ji Hoo simply turning around trying to avoid JunPyo. This whole scene was just weird. I guess this scene shows the beginning of their friendship falling apart.

- This is where the whole situation started, where the drama begins. Min Seo Hyun was in a magazine with the a Prince saying that they're dating. Jandi sees the magazine and is worried for Ji Hoo. She sits alone confused because what she had told Ji Hoo dating a prince in the past became true. She feel like she had jinxed it. Worried she goes and looks for Ji Hoo, where he's at the beach. He then hugs her and kisses her, meanwhile JunPyo is in the back and already suspicious with them two because of the anklet storms to Ji Hoo and punches him. This scene bothered me, first off I didn't like Ji Hoo and Jandi kissing, although that kiss was wack...but most importantly it was something that really hurt JunPyo badly. I feel so badly for him because he but a lot of time and emotions into Jandi, the first girl he's ever done anything for.

And I know I've said this before, but as much as I love HJ I don't really like his character in here. He's hot but the role he has I don't like much. If it wasn't for HJ playing the role of Ji Hoo I think I would've definitely hated Ji Hoo. I guess that's just my opinion for now...hopefully later on i'll start liking Ji Hoo again but then again I don't think so because I'm totally lovin' JunPyo in this drama.

- You don't mess with your friend's girl. So true! I agree you definitely shouldn't mess with your friend's girl. In this scene I really liked Kim Bum's acting. He looked so sexy with his serious face, and this is the first time he's acted so serious. Before he was usually cracking jokes or what not. I didn't like it when he asked Ji Hoo why he did it and Ji Hoo responded, "I just wanted to" nonchalantly.
